BurnstopUSA owns exclusive rights to the original BurnstopUSA formulas as well as all newly developed formulas. We have applied for trademark on the name BurnstopUSA with our logo.

2. What is BurnstopUSA?

BurnstopUSA is the business name for a complete line of fire retardant products. BurnstopUSA is the most advanced flame retardant in the world today. BurnstopUSA is the only product that we know of available anywhere today that is BOTH a retardant AND an extinguisher all in the same product. While many other products include chemicals and harmful additives, BurnstopUSA is completely (GREEN) Earth safe, non toxic, user and environmentally safe. Formulas include solutions for Forest Fires; wood products; textiles; petroleum fires; chemical fires and many more.

4. So how does BurnstopUSA work?

In simple layman’s terms the formulation of Burnstop attacks key elements of the “FIRE TRIANGLE”. The Fire Triangle says that there are three elements that is necessary to create fire: 1.) Oxygen, 2.) Fuel, 3.) Heat. BurnstopUSA creates a circle or encasement around the oxygen molecules thus eliminating one of the key elements of the Fire Triangle. Or, another way of stating this is that BurnstopUSA interrupts the fire triangle by affecting the release of oxygen.

5. Explain the Instant Cool-Down Effect that BurnstopUSA claims.

This is a complex issue to explain but the basic description is as follows; Because BurnstopUSA prohibits the release of oxygen at a molecular level, flames are rapidly extinguished. Since about 90% of heat is in the flame itself, about that % of heat is eliminated quickly from any fire exposed material. Water alone will not put a ring around the source of fire at a molecular level, but BurnstopUSA will, meaning no additional heat release thus an almost instant cooling down effect.

6. How long can BurnstopUSA be stored and still be effective?

Properly stored BurnstopUSA has an indefinite shelf life in its powdered form. In liquid form we will say that it is at least 5 years and has been stored in tests over 10 years without any degradation of potency.

7. How many formulas do you have?

At present approximately eleven. In most cases, in order for a fire retardant to work, penetration and absorption of the retardant is essential for performance. There are a variety of additives to aid in this (surfactants). Also some applications require a special coating to resist elements.

8. Does it wear out after an application?

Not if it is not washed away. For instance if wood is treated with BurnstopUSA and then painted or sealed, it is then part of the molecular structure of the wood and thus BurnstopUSA protected indefinitely.

9. Does it wash out after an application?

BurnstopUSA is biodegradable and as such can be washed away harmlessly, unless measures are taken to protect it!

10. How hard is it to apply?

BurnstopUSA can be brushed on, rolled on, used in a dipping application or sprayed on through a simple garden sprayer to a large but simple induction process.

11. Is it harmful to pets, plants, and people?

In rigid testing, BurnstopUSA has been shown to be safe when properly used, for animals, children, landscaping and marine life.

13. In what form do I buy it?

BurnstopUSA will be sold in any form that the customer requires, however we prefer to sell the product in it’s powdered form for a number of reasons that benefit both BurnstopUSA as well as our customers. Quantities available can range from the one pallet to a large TOTE, to containers.

14. If I buy the powder form what do I use to mix with it? Expensive chemicals?

No, it mixes with plain water, H2O

15. Is BurnstopUSA effective in all classes of fires?

It is incredibly effective in most classes of fires.

16. Are there any health risks in using the BurnstopUSA products?

In extensive laboratory testing, BurnstopUSA has been shown to be safe for the environment with a Ph rating of Ph7. Tests have also proven it to be safe for human, animal, aquatic, and plant life.

17. Is BurnstopUSA easy to clean up?

BurnstopUSA in all situations features a very easy clean-up. All that is required is plain and standard water.

18. What about the name BurnstopUSA? Discuss your commitment to branding.

We will allow any credited customer/partner to re-brand the product to their advantage. BurnstopUSA would require to approval of any and all branding changes. However, we ARE open to any re-branding for competitive and marketing purposes.

19. What kind of tests has been done using BurnstopUSA?

BurnstopUSA has undergone rigorous testing worldwide by some of the most prominent laboratories and testing organizations. BurnstopUSA maintains all of the complete documents detailing every test that we know has been completed and is available for examination upon request by authorized individuals. Some of the testing includes;
Test results from Labs in Germany showed that BurnstopUSA exceeded all European standards.

Test results from Holland say that BurnstopUSA meets and surpasses the M1 classification in accordance with the NF P92-503 and P92-507. This is the highest test results achieved in Europe.

Testing labs in France are renowned worldwide for their fire testing for all fire retardants and extinguishing products. The tests conducted on BurnstopUSA were for wood impregnation. Adding only a wetting agent BurnstopUSA becomes universal in its extinguishing and retardant abilities.

In France, BurnstopUSA was also tested with actual forest fires. The fires were in Auron France and the fire fighters foud Burnsto not only put out the fires fast and effectively but as retardant saved large areas of forest as fires passed by and left green undisturbed vegetation.

In Brusselles Belgium, the A.N.P.I and the N.V.B.B. (National Association for Fire Safety) made comparison tests with water, AFFF Foam retardant and BurnstopUSA. The results soon proved that there was no comparison to BurnstopUSA. BurnstopUSA proved to be faster extinguishing and more effective than any foam on the market and enhanced water’s performance by 3-5 times in very small quantities.
Additional testing by A.N.P.I and the N.V.B.B. in a liquid fire with the extremely deadly fuel Heptane. BurnstopUSA not only proves incredibly effective in solids fires, but also in liquid fires and greatly surpasses the best foams available on the market.

Centexbel (Center for Scientific technique) June 27, 1991. The determination was that the reaction from BurnstopUSA to fire for flexible materials is in accordance with NF P9-2-503 and P92-507, IMA 120 on cotton

Laboratories J. Simon S.A. Belgium, June 29, 1990. According to O.E.C.D. Guidelines for chemical substances nr yos “Acute eye irritation study on albino rabbits”. The conclusion was that there were NO corrosive or irritant effects. In fact BurnstopUSA meets or exceeds OSHA and EPA regulations. These results not only meet U.S. Standards but also Canadian and European standards according to the OECD”s good laboratory practices established in Paris France.

United States Testing Labs, California. (Testing labs for the California State fire marshal,. Results: BurnstopUSA complies with flammability requirements of the California Administrative Code, title 19, public safety, for flame retardant chemicals for interior use (cellulosic/synthetic blend fabrics up to 35% synthetic fabric) In other words, BurnstopUSA has surpassed all the requirements as a flame retardant on natural and synthetic products in 16 different studies
